Humanity Art

Want to connect with your neighbors in need through joyful creativity? Join us on Wednesday mornings for Humanity Art, our newest outreach ministry!

Every Wednesday, Humanity Showers creates a space where neighbors help neighbors in Oceanside by providing showers, haircuts, clothing, and hygiene supplies along with a hot breakfast for free to anyone in need. We’ve joined this amazing community by setting up an art table with drawing and coloring supplies, t-shirts and stencils, and more.

Doing what we do best at St. Brigid’s — connecting with others and sharing God’s love through art and creativity — has allowed us to make lots of new friends and to hear their stories. It’s a great way to build community - and you’re invited to join us!

If you are interested in joining us, or would like to donate supplies, please contact us using the button below! You can also just stop by at 208 S Clementine Street (we are usually there from around 8-10am). We will also gladly accept donations of new socks, gently used clothing, art and craft supplies, or hygiene items - reach out to us to arrange a pickup.

Healing Into Wholeness

Healing into Wholeness is a ministry for healing mind, body, and spirit through time-honored practices such as yoga, contemplation, self-reflection, breathwork, energy work, nutrition, lifestyle balance, and relationship with the natural world. By integrating sacred, nature-based traditions like yoga and Ayurveda, we root ourselves in love and rise toward wholeness.. Rooted in love, joy, and justice, we honor healing and wholeness as both a sacred journey and a birthright. Our mission is to create nurturing spaces where individuals can reconnect with their inner truth, embrace their divine purpose, and deepen their spiritual practice.

Inspired by the legacy of St. Brigid and many others, we seek to create a community that continually returns to love. We also acknowledges the harm, oppression, and dehumanization caused by systems of capitalism and actions committed in the name of God. We believe true healing begins with radical honesty—within ourselves and in community. As The Body Keeps the Score reminds us, “The greatest source of suffering is the lies we tell ourselves. Be honest about every facet of our experience. We can’t get better without knowing what you know and feeling what you feel” (van der Kolk, 26–27).

As an inclusive and affirming community, we support people of all identities and backgrounds through the many transitions of life—grief, loss, addiction, illness, pain, and isolation.

All are welcome to gather, grow, and heal—right where we are, just as we are. To find out more about upcoming events and gatherings, sign up for our weekly newsletter or send us a message using the Contact Us button below.

Social Justice

At St. Brigid’s, we are passionate about advocating and working for justice for all, especially for marginalized people in our city and region. We are particularly passionate about immigrant’s rights, LGBTQ+ issues, and disability justice.

Members of our community participate in various justice-centered activities, including marches and vigils, speaking at City Council meetings, coordinating voter education initiatives, and partnering with other local organizations for community organizing.
